Q: Can you share with us what made you decide to have a career in Real Estate?
KS: I had spent a lot of time with my father-in-law who owned Encore Realty. I truly loved the way he helped people to find the right home for their families as well as sell their biggest asset. I got started shortly after he passed away and it has been a wonderful career choice. Both the ability to help families as well as negotiating top dollar for my sellers is awesome.

Q: What can Buyers & Sellers expect when they work with you?
KS: A very honest approach to the transaction as well as a compassionate ability to help each person though a stressful but rewarding time.

Q: What aspects of the transaction will you personally handle, and which will be delegated to others?
KS: I handle all direct interactions with buyers, sellers and agents. I have a full-time wonderful assistant who handles marketing and transaction coordination.

Q: How do you help buyers come to a decision?
KS: I help buyers with the decision process by educating and providing as much information as possible. Also, I have a very keen eye for value, and the market.

Q: If we interviewed all your past clients … what is one common word that comes up when they describe working with you?
KS: Integrity and passion. Strong negotiation and knowledge.

Q: What is your typical home buying strategy for clients?
KS: Find the right home that works for your family’s needs.

Q: What’s one lesson you’ve learned in your career that you can share with our audience?
KS: Be patient but ready to jump when needed.

Q: Which woman inspires you and why? 
KS: My best friend Robin Grey … she and I went to college together. She worked her way up to be CFO of a startup company. She’s traveled around the world and has two children who she loves dearly. She made sure that family life came first, then the company, all the while be passionate in helping others. 

Q: What are some of the challenges you feel women face today?
KS: I truly believe that a woman can succeed at anything she puts her mind to. The challenges make us stronger and wiser and most of all more passionate in the world. I am not sure, if I believe it is specific to just being a woman. I believe that each person has their own challenges in life. The biggest of life’s challenges are health and wellbeing.

Q: What advice would you give to young women who want to succeed in the workplace?
KS: Go after all of your dreams but make sure to ask for help along the way. The wonderful people who help you along the way will also make up what your dreams are truly about.
